As the first rain bands from Tropical Storm Fay approach Southwest Florida, all the residents of Cape Coral are remaining calm. The entire perspective is one of a community not quite sure a significant weather event is about to occur. Most homeowners still have not opted to put up their storm shutters. Traffic is light. Gas stations and grocery stores are quiet.
Local meteorologists are forecasting winds powerful enough to scatter debris, knock down trees, and pull down powerlines. Clumps of houses are closed up with storm shutters, while the majority are just business as usual. Protecting the House Time to wait and see what unfolds. |
