We'd like to invite all of our readers to stop by the two new websites designed by our staff here at the Cape Coral Barometer. The first is for a Massachusetts company that specializes in new and replacement Garage Doors for Worcester County, central Massachusetts, and the Rangeley, Maine area: Sterling Overhead Door. The second website is for a talented, young lady -- whose cartoon strip, "Seasons in the Sun" you'll be seeing soon in the Cape Coral Barometer. Her name is Charlene Taubert. We welcome them both to the Barometer Media family, and we hope you'll do the same. If you've got a local, home-based business which you think could benefit from our website design services...Come visit the Cape Coral Barometer website design page for more information and Contact Us today! |

This week we're working on a unique set of Summer Vacation Roadtrip Stories which will take you on a journey from Southwest Florida to the Florida Panhandle, Biloxi in Mississippi, and the bars and restaurants of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. On the local front, our food critic, R.D. Lang, recently paid a visit to the Mucky Duck on Captiva Island for some off-season eats. His review will be forthcoming, as well. |

Did you hear the sonic boom this morning? Every time the space shuttle comes back through our atmosphere on a return trip to Cape Canaveral, everyone in Southwest Florida is alerted by a sonic boom. It sounds like a single, quick thunderclap. Or, sometimes, like a gunshot. Today it was louder than ever, it actually shook the walls of my house. It sounded almost as if something hit my roof. |
